Soft-spoken, watchful, vigilant.

the one who heals.

She tends to wounds the way others tend to fragile things: patiently, softly, and with careful hands.
What survives her care is never by chance; it is because she refused to let it slip away.

Reina Tsukino was never meant for a world built by masters and predators - she was meant for forests, for quiet herds and soft moonlight cascading down through the tree tops. Though the world she lives in now is louder, sharper and ever so lacks kindness. So she had to learn different ways to survive; she listens. To breath, to heartbeats, to the fragile space between life and death. In hospital halls, suffering becomes a language of its own. Something she can answer with steady hands and gentle care, not something to fear or free from.   Reina is not strong; she simply refuses to abandon those who need her.   A slave by status, a nurse by order. She heals the way she survives: carefully, patiently, and without letting anyone notice how much it frightens her more and more every single day.

// 001 : communication & comfort.       Open communication is important to me. If something in a thread makes you uncomfortable, isn’t working, or needs adjusting, please say so. Boundaries can always be set, moved, or removed - no explanations required.// 002 : plotting & consent.       I enjoy plotting and discussing themes beforehand, especially for heavier topics. That said, I’m also happy to discover things organically in-thread. Major twists, power shifts, or long-term consequences should be talked through first.// 003 : nsfw & mature themes.       Flirting, sexual tension, and nsfw themes are welcome when mutually agreed upon. I prefer chemistry, build-up, and narrative weight over rushing. Fade-to-black is always an option and will never be questioned.

// 004 : roleplay etiquette.       Please do not godmod, control my characters, or assume their internal thoughts or reactions. IC conflict is encouraged; OOC conflict is not. Let’s keep things collaborative and respectful.// 005 : tone & writing style.       I don’t expect perfection or matching lengths, but I do appreciate effort and clarity. Quality and engagement matter more to me than speed or word count - write what feels natural to you.

the following backstory contains mentions of drug addiction, substance abuse, anxiety, panic attacks, etc.ARC I   :   The Quiet Herd.
Deep in the forests outside Kyoto, that is where Reina was born within a small Shika herd that lived there. The herd lived following the slow flow and rhythm of nature surrounding them. They ran through tall grass, listened for predators and slept beneath dense trees where moonlight could barely be witnessed. Like many herds, Reina wasn't just raised by her parents but by everyone around her, every adult acting as a protector and caretaker. Her life began surrounded by warmth and safety, she was taught compassion and patience by the elders and encouraged to be curious by the younger deer she called brothers and sisters who explored the woods with her.
And for a long time, the world felt gentle.ARC II   :   The First Loss.
Reina was still young by Shika standards when it happened, she had never known the secrets that protected her herd. A master living by the border of the forests they called home. The quiet protection that had always been keeping them safe, giving them the peace and quiet they deserved. Though it wasn't meant to last. When the herd lost their master, the forest was no longer safe. After all, Shika were easy prey.
It had only taken one day before a raid meant to capture slaves for numerous cities in Japan and South-Korea happened, scattering the herd.Reina ran, faster than she ever had in her life. Instinct driving her deeper into unfamiliar lands as she reached parts of the forest she had never known, eventually reaching the city of Kyoto. By the time her legs stopped moving, she realized the worst truth someone like her could put themselves into. She was a herd animal. Alone.ARC III   :   A City of Predators.
Loud, crowded and filled with creatures far more powerful than she ever would be, that's how overwhelming the city was for her senses. Reina felt every fibre in her body scream at her to flee. Though where would she go?
Her capture had been easy. A Shika's harmless nature was public knowledge and slave brokers had been everywhere. Though instead of being sold at an auction right away, Reina was transferred to Seoul where she was transferred into something called "The Labor Program" designed for docile slaves. After evaluation, her gentle personality was deemed suited for service work. That's how she ended up at the hospital.ARC IV   :   Learning to Heal.
The hospital had terrified Reina at first. The blood, all the screaming, the injuries far beyond anything she had ever seen in the forest. While her body screamed at her to run, she knew that she couldn't. So she forced herself to stay.
Her natural sense of empathy proved to make her excellent at patient care, and her heightened senses overall almost made her a walking patient monitor of sorts. Reina would pick up on things before machines could; irregular breathing, subtle symptoms, etc.And even though it took a while, for the first time since losing her herd, Reina felt like she might also belong somewhere other than the forest.ARC V   :   Long Nights.
Her preference for night shifts grew quickly after settling into her role as a nurse. Her night vision granted her an easy existence in the dim lights and the hospital was quieter after the sun had gone down.
Though a hospital is never truly calm, is it?Night after night she witnessed violence and its aftermath, accidents, conflicts spilling into hospital halls. Predators arriving injured from fights. Masters who had gotten too confident. Slaves brought in after punishment. The conflicts of the world she had tried to avoid at all costs began to bleed through the doors of the place where she thought she belonged.Slowly, ever so slowly... the fear began to build.ARC VI   :   The First Pill.
One night, after a shift she will continue to see in her nightmares, Reina couldn't stop shaking. Her hands wouldn't listen as she had dropped a second tray of medical instruments. Her feet wouldn't move as she had bumped into the same desk corner thrice.
A doctor noticed and gave her a simple order: "Go calm down."And she did.A little too well...Shaking hands found the medication cabinet all too tempting. A simple sedative; it would be enough to let her survive. To let her live in the world built around her.It worked instantly. Panic faded. The buzzing of her brain stopped. The trembling lessened and lessened. That day, for the first time in years, Reina slept peacefully.ARC VII   :   Quiet Dependence.
It began like every addiction. Only using the medication occasionally. When she struggled most, after a difficult shift or moments the hospital felt like a warzone rather than a house of healing.
Just once, she told herself.Though it was never meant to be once. Frequency grew and grew.Reina knew the pharmacy systems well. She knew which medications were monitored closely, knew how to alternate what she took that would grant her the same effect without anyone noticing.Yet she never took more than she needed. Never more than what kept her calm, what kept her working.ARC VIII   :   A Carefully Built Illusion.
For patients and colleagues, Reina is the perfect nurse. Gentle, dependable, a hard worker and endlessly patient. She is the one who takes the extra shifts, the one who volunteers to care for difficult patients, the one who never complains.
Though the truth is hidden beneath careful routines. Medication before shifts, before sleep, whenever the trembling starts all over again.Every pill is another secret. And it's no longer a matter of if someone will find out, but moreso when and what that would mean for someone like Reina in this world.
